To serve as an organization of commercial, retail, agricultural, professional and educational people working together to enhance economic, civic and cultural interest of the Hutchinson area.

2009 Priorities:
- Focus continued and determined effort on the strategies and goals outlined in the 2009 Program of Work plan.
- Increase our leadership and profile in the community as it relates to issues that affect businesses and our area.
- Provide valuable services and support to our community and business members.
- Develop and promote Hutchinson as a destination.
Key Areas of Focus
Membership Development Function:
Continue and support the A.R.M. Initiative
Continue Membership Retention & Maintenance Efforts. Develop New Member Initiatives. Increase Membership Visits
Educational Opportunities
Increase Professional Development Opportunities for Members (Spring, Fall). Partner & Develop Key Relationships with other community and county organizations.
Networking Opportunities
MN Chamber Opportunities. Young Professionals Group. Member Luncheons.
Community Relationship Function:
Committees
Review committees and their work. Encourage Buy Local Committee Development.
Hutchinson Leadership Institute Program
Continue development of institute as the "premier" leadership training resource for Hutchinson.
Community Events & Services
Evaluate involvement of Chamber CVB. Renew and expand Banner Program.
Annual Meeting
Simplify Awards - application, consolidation. Create a brief overview of successes.
Administration/Goverance Function:
Fiduciary Responsibilities
Continue strict management of the budget. Review non-dues and dues related income.
Create & Implement Business Procedures & Policies
Organization Name Change
Drop CVB title and add Tourism in its place
Tourism & Marketing Function
Develop and Promote Hutchinson as a Destination
Hospitality Partner Cooperation & Communication. Event Focus. Visitor Communication. Public Relations / Media Communications.
Pursue Partnerships & Educational Opportunities
Relocation and Traveler Assistance
Develop a thorough relocation assistance program. Improve resources for assisting travelers.
