Official Detour Route

Traffic will be detoured as follows:

• on Highway 7 east to Highway 22
• south to Highway 212
• east to Highway 5
• east to Highway 41
• north to Highway 7.

The detour adds nine miles of travel distance.

Purpose

Reconstruction of State Highway 7 will improve ride quality, relieve congestion and enhance the safety of the state highway.

Location

State Highway 7 from east limits of Silver Lake to 2,500 feet east of Carver County Road 92 in St. Bonifacius.

Description

Mill (remove) two inches of existing pavement and replace with four inches of bituminous pavement.

Construct three passing lane sections:

• One in McLeod County
  • From County Road 15 to Eagle Avenue.
• Two in Carver County:
  • From County Road 21 to Tacoma Avenue
  • State Highway 25 to County Road 10

Construct two roundabouts:

• At State Highway 25
• At Carver County Road 10
